Modelcraft had the pleasure of working with Architectus on their presentation model for 2 University Avenue at Macquarie University. The initial approach to this project was a highly collaborative one where time was spent with the architects, exploring various material and lighting effects that would work to present the overall scheme in a detailed yet light and delicate way. The use of polished block acrylic was extremely effective in this instance to achieve the desired result. Also effective was the use of natural materials for the landscaping. The contrast of sisal against the background of ‘sea-foam'‘ trees acknowledged and communicated to the viewer the importance of the adjacent row of Kauri Pines to the client and the scheme as a whole.
