Modelcraft was fortunate to be given the opportunity to construct six models for the Iconic Houses of Australia Exhibition. The exhibition toured nationally and was based around the Karen McCartney book series of the same name and the models, together with beautifully presented panels and imagery, worked seamlessly to make the exhibition a success. The physical footprint of the model bases was kept the same, providing a uniform visual aesthetic, whilst each of the selected homes were stylised in their construction and finishes to communicate the unique and individual designs in their purest architectural form. Modelcraft is grateful to Sydney Living Museums and the Architecture Foundation Australia for the confidence they had in our ability to work within the brief and budget on this amazing project. The models have since toured internationally as part of a travelling exhibition.
